This was our first time eating here and it was above and beyond expectations! We celebrated a birthday tonight and Stephg made sure we was well accommodated for. She was very welcoming and kept the table laughing all night. We will be returning to just to see Steph! Food was unbelievable and the decor is beautiful. 10/10

Well what a great place , restaurant atmosphere and our private dining room were very welcoming warm and lovely atmosphere . Simon was on hand to greet guests hand out arrival drinks and organise the timing of the event , laising with ourselves as hosts all the way , no rigid we must do this now attitude , very accommodating and happy to be flexible – it was like having our own dedicated party planner / head waiter – he was himself very professional but at sane time very friendly a real asset to the business , couldn’t think him enough for making it a special day .
Food was very good roast pork in mustard sauce excellent , plenty of parking and bar area very pleasing on the eye , we have stayed the night before and the rooms opening onto the garden are well worth the stay if you need overnight accommodation , definately a 5 star experience in terms of service and you don’t get to say that a lot these days . Would love to go back of course perhaps with a smaller party as 24 guests was as you can imagine a costly experience but well worth it

Brilliant experience at The Lion.
The food was really good, great atmosphere, and the staff were lovely and welcoming. Everything came out quickly and was clearly made with care. Proper cosy pub vibes and definitely somewhere I’d happily go back to. Highly recommend.

Corresponding with the team in the lead up to our wedding day was absolute perfection, never felt like a burden asking questions, there was a genuine care from the team to make our day perfect.

Our day was nothing short of perfect and we have the venue and staff to thank. Every guest commented on how beautiful the venue was, how genuinely friendly and caring the staff were. My brother being a very important guest at our wedding is in a wheelchair and the staff went over and above to ensure both he and my family looking after him throughout the day were well catered for and seen to. The food was served piping hot to every single table and was fresh and delicious. We have had so many comments from our guests about the incredible food. The value for money truly is incredible here.
